AI and this job
AI exposure: how much of this job’s work AI tools can do or help with, based on national research. It is not a forecast of job loss.
Lower exposure8 of 100
The index averages three national research measures, each shown as a percentile of all jobs:
- AIOE 5
- Language-model AIOE 6

Observed AI use today: Some (Anthropic Economic Index)
AI exposure for production helpers is lower, and observed AI use is some. Federal projections still expect fewer of these jobs because automation is replacing some helper work in factories. AI tools may help with counting and checking products, while lifting and watching equipment still rely on people.

- Checking products against quality standards
Still relies on people

What federal projections say
