AI and this job

AI exposure: how much of this job’s work AI tools can do or help with, based on national research. It is not a forecast of job loss.

Moderate exposure56 of 100

The index averages three national research measures, each shown as a percentile of all jobs:

  • AIOE 58
  • Language-model AIOE 57
  • GPTs-are-GPTs 54

Observed AI use today: Some (Anthropic Economic Index)

AI exposure for tellers is moderate, and observed AI use is only some so far. AI tools can help with counting, balancing drawers, checking amounts, and keeping records. They do less with handling physical cash and coin, watching the vault, and checking signatures at the counter. Massachusetts is projected to have fewer teller jobs over the next decade, so it helps to build skills that can move to other work.
